Final Thought
At the end of this project I have decided that fame isn't that great. So why do we still want it? Why do I still want it? I guess being recognized for your talents some how makes it better, despite all the bad that goes with it. Thanks everyone for your help and participation.

Monologue
It was all great at the beginning. Acting in movies, being the star, meeting people just like me. Famous. I thought that was the best thing in the world, to be noticed in life. You could walk down the street and hear your named echoed though out the town. People trying to get close enough to you just to say they touched you! I can remember why I strove to be famous. In high school I was invisible. Never noticed, never seen. Walking down the hall I waved to everyone. The popular guys and girls even more. Just doing anything to be noticed. But nothing, not even a glance over. I thought fame could fix everything. It did at the beginning. Everyone remembered what my name was and almost everything about me. Then came the parties. Oh the parties. Being there in the presence of all those famous people. I would have never thought of being at the same party as Johnny Deep, Reece Witherspoon, or Hugh Jackman. Then came the classmates.

Journal Entry 4/13/11
Dear Journal,
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be famous? Imagine all the money and fame. Everyone knows your name. People pushing and shoving just to see your face. Lights flashing so fast and bright that you can barely even see. The best part of it all is doing what you love, either acting or singing. You can just feel the rush of your performance and being the best.
This is what most people imagine fame being. A thrill of doing what you love and being known for it. There is some of that to fame. You get to do what you love and be recognized for it. There is also the down side to this too. Never getting the privacy you want and sometimes need. People always trying to get your autograph when you are just going to the grocery store. Sometimes you even have to face the news saying something like " Did you see her make up OMG it was sooo bad!!!" I know that I would really take that offensively. Quote of the week....

Tribute: Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman is a very unique person. She is the type of famous person I would want to be. Here are some of the reasons:
Natalie Portman was discovered at the age of eleven in a pizza parlor on Long Island by a Revlon model scout. At the age of twelve she started acting for Hollywood. She continued her schooling and graduated from Long Island High School with Strait A's and Honors. After that she took time off from acting to go to Harvard Law school. Four years later she graduated from Harvard on June 5, 2003, having studied Psychology. She has several career ambitions, namely: Doctor, Veterinarian, Astronaut, Broadway dancer, Writer, Scientist, Photographer, Full time actor, and International Relations. She has received a Golden Globe Award and this year received an Academy Award.
Here are some interesting things to know about Natalie Portman. The last name Portman is actually not her real last name. It is her Grandma's last name. She likes to keep her real last name private because if she performs badly her family will not have to take any blame. She is also Jewish. This may be one of the contributing factors on how she chooses to act. One of the quotes that Natalie said is, "Young actors often don't think of the consequences of doing nudity or sex scenes. They want the role so badly that they agree to be exploited, and they end up embarrassing family, friends, and strangers." Natalie has NEVER acted in a nude scene or sex scene throughout her acting career. She is also a very private person. She keeps her personal life very private and the paparazzi out of her personal life.
She has some other interesting things about her personality and life. She has been a vegetarian since the age of 8 when her dad took her to a demonstration of laser surgery on a chicken. Also in her acting career she has always played characters that are smart, mature, and grown up for their age. Before her acting career Natalie did some stage acting and stared in 'Annie get your Gun' as Annie. Interestingly enough she has stage fright that she will forget her lines on stage.
Her favorite subjects in school are math, biology, science, languages, politics, and psychology. She speaks English, Hebrew, and in school she took Japaneses and French. Some habits of hers are collecting purses and small bags, eye-brow tweezing, doing Lily Tomlin impressions, and she generally considers herself to be a bit obsessive compulsive. Some sports she likes are track and field and also playing football. Her favorite foods are pizza, chocolate, tea, ice cream, and skim milk.
I admire Natalie Portman for how she lives her life. She does not do any sex or nude scenes. I really value that because she does not lower any of her standards for a movie. I also admire how much she values education. She graduated from Harvard having studied Psychology. I would want to be like her if I were to fulfill my dream of becoming an actress. I just really appreciate Natalie Portman and if I could say one thing to her I would say keep doing what your doing!
